And in Wales the annual libraries festival applied for and was awarded the London Inspire 2012 mark. The festival will be taking place this November in libraries across Wales and so is classed as one of the Cultural Olympiad things.

Happy to pass on news of a very major piece of action being planned – the 2012 Summer Reading Challenge is going to be part of the Cultural Olympiad festival, which is a fantastic vote of confidence for libraries.

Hi all,

 

Personal curiosity. Is anyone aware of anything going on/being planned for the Cultural Olympiad? I may be out of the loop on this but I'm not hearing any noises.

 

This question is triggered by the news that we have passed the 1 year to start of the games point and I understood that there were going to be nationwide events leading up to it.
