Debbie, I think the delivery options (page 106380) apply to all types of notice. ie if no notice preference is specified and a valid email address is given they will get an email regardless of what notice type it is. I don't think you can do what you want from within Millennium. If we have a valid email for a borrower, we want to send everything by email to them. But we don't charge for printed notices yet.... regards Alan -- Alan Brown Library Systems Liaison Officer Bury Libraries Resource Services Textile Hall Manchester Rd Bury BL9 0DG 0161 253 5877 http://www.bury.gov.uk/libraries http://library.bury.gov.uk ________________________________ From: Deborah Laugesen [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: 11 August 2011 12:01 Subject: Notice charges Hiello, We would like to charge our patrons for sending printed overdue notices and were thinking of implementing the circulation option (no. 77). However, we would like to give patrons the opportunity to avoid the charge by setting their notice delivery preference as e-mail. Does anyone else use a similar system and if so, does it cause many problems? In particular, I would like to know if there is a way to send courtesy notices to all patrons by e-mail but print any overdues where the notice preference has not been specified. At the moment we use saved notice jobs and have an e-mail address in the record. We use the move all to print queue option for overdues but this seems to move all of the notices regardless of the notice delivery preference.
