The journal Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care is issuing a
call for papers on the following general themes:
- Identity and/or
inter-cultural experiences
- “Big Society, little
budgets”
- Public health issues
- Dual heritage
- Ethnicity and older people
- Children and young people
- The experiences of different
cultures of death and terminal care.

About the journal
Ethnicity and Inequalities in Health and Social Care promotes equality in
health and social care, with a particular emphasis on race and ethnicity. A
key area of interest is the relationship between ethnicity and other forms of
inequality – often now referred to as intersectionality.
The journal’s primary aims are to: provide evidence-rich information to
enable managers and frontline practitioners to improve performance in relation
to ethnicity and inequalities; provoke reflection and support critical
analysis of the challenges and strengths in this area.
The journal welcomes articles in any of the following categories:
- Think pieces – analysis
of current policy or practice.
- Project reports.
- Reports, findings and
recommendations arising from research
- Referenced, evidence-based
articles to help inform management or frontline practice.
