Good question. I just logged out, then logged back in. 'fsl" cannot be found. Then I manually source .bash_profile and then run fsl and it runs fine. So as you suggested a) manual sourcing of bash_profile works fine, but b) there must be something either not correct in the bash_profile or possibly something not right in the bashrc file. However, thankfully for your quick reply (and a long shower to think) I realized that the error was indeed in my .bashrc file, not an error in the syntax but rather an error in placement. Sometimes when you look for a complex answer it turns out to be a silly simply error. Anyways thanks again for your quick reply. Justin
