Q: our YOT is covered by the council's DPA register (which technically means that we are the data controller as opposed to the YOT). In light of this, does this mean we now have to arrange for the YOT to register separately as a data controller? If not, how are others ensuring that YOT as a DC is clearly reflected in the Local authorities DPA register - if at all?

As a postscript to this thread from February the ICO issued guidance on 1st July confirming his view that YOT's are (for the most part anyway) separate data controllers.
