I’m writing to raise awareness of another exciting role at Oxford within the Disability Advisory Service.

 

We are looking for a Disability officer to join our expert team who are committed to the continued development of student support service provision. This is a Grade 8 post: Salary £36,862 - £44,016 p.a. The University has made a strong commitment to students with disabilities in its access Agreement to OFFA for 2012/13 and the DAS has an important role to play in achieving this aim throughout the Collegiate University.

Candidates should be able to:

• Manage a caseload of often complex student work.
• Conduct informal assessments of students' needs, including those who present with multiple and complex difficulties.
• Provide expert guidance, including the relevant legislation, to colleges and departments on all areas of support for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialist knowledge in one of the following areas: sensory impairment, chronic long-term health conditions, fatigue conditions, Asperger Syndrome.
