NADP ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2012

The NADP Annual conference 2012 will be held on Tuesday 26^th and Wednesday 27^th June 2012 at the Barcelo Oxford Hotel.

The Conference will focus on ‘Embedding Disability Equality throughout student services from pre-entry to post exit’

The Conference Planning Group invites proposals for workshops and keynote presentations from a variety of student services including

·         Disability Services

·         Counseling

·         Welfare

·         Medical Centre

·         Careers

·         Alumni

·         Examinations

·         Student Admissions

·         Recruitment

·         International Student Office

·         Student Union advice service

·         Sport

·         Placement and work experience

Focusing on how services are positive about disability equality as part of the equalities agenda and pro-active in making positive experience a reality.

In addition to the main theme of the conference we will also consider workshop proposals on

·         Assistive technology benefits for non disabled students

·         Student experience of disability services (qualitative and quantitative research)

·         The impact (or lack of) the Equality Act

·         Innovative assessment adjustments

·         Disability Support in times of financial challenge

Papers are welcome from members and non-members of NADP, student services or academics.  Please encourage your colleagues to contribute

Submission Guidelines:

Proposals should be submitted to the NADP Administration Office by Friday 14^th October 2011 using a Speakers Information Form available from our website
