Hello,

It feels very reminiscent of a nursing or hospital badge, although I
think it would be unusual not be inscribed with the nurse's name on the
back. But it might be another avenue worth exploring? I can't see it
in Meglaughlin's illustrated book on British Nursing Badges, but you
might try asking the Schools of Nursing website - they've been very
helpful to me in the past.

Dear all

A gentleman came in this morning with a medal found in his mother's
jewellery box. She was born in 1914 and grew up in London. She was
active in the girl guides in the 1920s; his father was in the Boys
Brigade.

The badge is in a box Vaughtons Ltd box (they still make badges, medals
and so on) and has silver hallmarks for 1927.

Does anyone recognise the design or know which organisation this may
have been received from? As far as I can tell it does not related to
Boys Brigade and I haven't seen anything from GG like this.

Any help is much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Ali
