Subject: [SHCG-LIST] Medal/Badge enquiry

Dear all

A gentleman came in this morning with a medal found in his mother's jewellery box. She was born in 1914 and grew up in London. She was active in the girl guides in the 1920s; his father was in the Boys Brigade.

The badge is in a box Vaughtons Ltd box (they still make badges, medals and so on) and has silver hallmarks for 1927.

Does anyone recognise the design or know which organisation this may have been received from? As far as I can tell it does not related to Boys Brigade and I haven't seen anything from GG like this.

Any help is much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Ali
