Doggone, it's hot, humid, and buggy down here. 98 F and a heat factor of 109F. It's downright spiritually toastie! This heat will melt you into becoming one with the environment. Oh, well, on to my China diary:

Zhengzhou, May 21.  Diary, this will be a short one.  I was talking with a Chinese student about Tao and Chi.  They are about "the way" and "life's force."  Now, diary, I'm not expert in them by any stretch of the imagination, but that talk did get my imagination going about my vision to be the person who is there to help others help themselves before the persons they are capable of becoming.   What is it to have a vision?  Well, I think it's a bunch of "isn't" and "it's."  I think vision isn't a direction; it's a directive.  It isn't merely compliance; it's commitment.  It isn't superficial; it's deep.  It isn't just going in; it's going out.  It isn't just personal; it's suprapersonal.  It doesn't labor; it plays.  It isn't tense; it's relaxed.  It isn't tortured; it's a "good time."  It isn't exasperating; it's reassuring.  It isn't sapping; it is strengthening.  It isn't just looking around; it's seeing forward.  It isn't just communication; it's communion.  It isn't detachment; it's community.  It isn't private; it's exposed consciousness.  It isn't just words; it's living.  It isn't important; it's significant.

Make it a good day
