Judith Bunting asked:

“...what, day to day, motivates the individuals in the community of communicators - educators, journalists and PR folks alike?

Is it a practical desire to improve lives through better understanding of the world around them? An intellectual desire to save mankind from collective ignorance? A straightforward matter of doing daily tasks well (and getting paid for them) or, maybe, a political quest to promote social advancement and entrepreneurship?”

I’d also love to see this explored here. To hell with cool scientific objectivity. Surely a communicator’s personal feelings and motivation are significant?
