Subject: [--SPAM--]Churchill from Aus - around students with disabilities

Hi Ruth,

I was given your name by Val Chapman as somebody who might be able to give me advice.

I have just been awarded a Churchill Scholarship to travel to UK for 5 weeks , with a research project "to improve career advisory support (CAS) to disabled students at university". The Churchill concept in Australia is to go overseas, learn about something and bring it back to Australia and communicate and influence change. I am planning to start at the AGCAS conference in Nottingham, in September. I am planning to look at 3 parts of helping disabled students; understand about the AGCAS organisation's DiversityTask Group (DTG) and the Disability Development Network (DDN), as we don't have either; disability content on line tools which have come out of Uni of Worcester, Val Chapman; and thirdly, at a number of specific CAS programmes which targeted helping students with disability.-Manchester, Nottingham + any others I find out about.

I am in the UK, looking to visit as many universities as possible to learn about succesful interventions in helping students with disabilities get prepared and successfully find jobs.

Do you have any suggestions?

Its a fairly broad question, but any help appreciated.
