Dear All
Isn’t plastazote interesting in close up!
Whilst a query is underway (as I can never remember how to post a query), can anyone point me in the direction of conservators/ taxidermists
who are good at conserving older mounted fish? I have several specimens with a combination of problems - water stains on the interior of the case, ground work mostly collapsed, poor re-painting, poor gap filling and painting over a repair, loose glass, missing
side bits of glass from a cased specimen. The specimen that appears to have been de-cased is also a bit somewhat under-filled.
Suggestions please.
