Imagining the future of art, design and media higher education teaching and learning

The theme for this issue reflects that of the ADM-HEA Annual Forum Shaping Things to Come held in May this year. Networks 14 includes:

Feature articles by Robert Clarke (University of Huddersfield), Julie Doyle ( University of Brighton), David Gauntlett (University of Westminster), Stuart Laing (University of Brighton) and Fiona Woods (Limerick School of Art & Design);

Final project reports from the 2010-11 academic year on the themes of Quality Enhancement and Assessment (Kingston University), Student Engagement (University of Ulster) and Education for Sustainable Development (London College of Fashion, University of Sunderland and University of Wales)

A report by one of our ADM Teaching Fellows, Richard Arm (Nottingham Trent University);

Case studies by Malcolm Clements (Cleveland College of Art and Design) and Garry Layden (University of Bedfordshire);

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
