Hello All,

PRODIGY is a new service provided by SCHIN. It is built on the CKS content and is updated regularly.  There have been over 140 updates since 31 March 2011. PRODIGY is available at a new URL: www.prodigy.clarity.co.uk

SCHIN used to create the content for CKS and host the website on behalf of the NHS.  On 31 March 2011 the NHS stopped funding CKS and SCHIN’s contract came to an end.  Since 31 March, the NHS has continued to make available the CKS content from its usual website.  As far as we are aware, however, it has not been updated and no new contractor has been appointed to update it.

It was in response to the apparent discontinuation of CKS that SCHIN launched PRODIGY.  We could not call our new service “CKS” because this brand name is owned by the NHS.

PRODIGY is presently funded on a charitable basis by SCHIN’s sister company, Clarity.

Kind regards

Jenny

Hi All,
does anyone have any update on what is happening to Clinical Knowledge Summaries?
The last I heard was that it wasn't going to be maintained and updated; but checking my rss feeds this morning they seem to be saying 140 topics updated since March 2011 - and they are now called Prodigy. http://prodigy.clarity.co.uk/news/new_and_updated_prodigy_topics?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+cks%2Fnew_and_updated_topics+%28CKS+-+New+and+updated+topics%29&utm_content=Google+Reader#-342654
