Not seen any discussion of this here, but this is a pretty interesting case that's seen lot of coverage over the past 24 hours or so, and should touch a pretty deep nerve among all of us. <http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/20/us/20compute.html> <http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/33_gb_of_scientific_papers_-_and_a_manifesto_-_upl.php> In short: a well-respected computer programmer was arrested and federally-indicted for downloading a vast volume of journal articles from JSTOR. I can see no evidence the federal prosecutors are claiming he illegally-distributed said content, but he faces decades in prison for his actions. As the second of the above links points out, now someone has distributed 32 GB of some of that same content; content which is out of copyright at this point. And it's accompanied by an interesting manifesto. Bruce
