Business School Graduate Teaching Assistant – Health Policy and Management (Fixed-term)

 

Salary:£18,000perannum
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of three years

 

Health policy and management research at NUBS covers a wide range of themes.  These include knowledge translation, professional behaviours, regulation and control of health professionals and incentives for quality in health care organisations. The successful applicant will be interested in undertaking research on one of these topics. It would be expected that the appointed person would have a good qualitative background and an interest in researching NHS organisations.

 

The successful candidates will be expected to undertake teaching assistance up to a maximum of 120 class-based contact hours per annum and will also be registered for a PhD.  This post provides an opportunity to undertake PhD research in a leading Business School with a well established PhD programme.  Graduates of the Programme are in demand in both academic and non-academic roles. Candidates should have a good honours degree in a relevant discipline (minimum 2:1) and have, or expect to have obtained by Autumn 2010, a Masters qualification in a relevant subject (average 65% or over). Please note this post is not available to candidates who are already registered for a Doctoral programme.

 

The School will pay full-time tuition fees at the UK/EU rate (currently £3,300 per annum) – please note, due to Home Office requirements, this post will not fulfil the criteria for a Tier 2 visa application.
