Greetings All, I'm attending from England but as a University of Michigan employee. I've been working with the LR folks to make node setup easier by scripting the process, so it's currently down to 2-3 commands to set up a node for development. Shouldn't be too much more to set up a production node, but ensuring security etc. is the challenging part. -- aal On Jun 15, 2011, at 7:27 AM, Robert Robertson wrote: > Hi Pat (and list), > > I agree those are good questions and relate to the notion of building services on top of the LR which is what most people will be interested in. > > That said, IMO there's at least a few UK institutions or services that might want to consider setting up and running nodes locally - so it might be worth keeping an ear out for any issues that international participants might have in setting up and testing nodes in terms of cloud hosting or identity/ authentication issues. > > John > > R.
