A few weeks ago a subscriber enquired about OH groups they could join. I suggested a couple in London and that the Occupational Health journal includes details of meetings of local groups each month.
I know that practitioners new to OH in particular find being membership of a local group gives them lots of useful contacts. I presented a paper at the Greater Manchester OHN Group at their annual conference in Warrington yesterday. Not only was it a very good conference with some excellent speakers the members were a particularly friendly group. I know they would welcome anyone who would like to join them. The members I met had a wealth of experience in a range of organisations including the railways, manufacturing industry the service sector and a good proportion of the attendees have their own consultancies.
