ART FOR WALES: Contemporary Art Society for Wales 2011 Distribution
Exhibition
Showing in Machynlleth until 30 June is the
Contemporary Art Society for Wales’ impressive exhibition of recently acquired
artworks at MOMA Cymru / Wales. It is open from Monday to Saturday, 10 -
4. The exhibition features over eighty paintings, prints, sculptures,
ceramics and textile works by a wide range of stimulating visual artists, the
majority of whom are active in Wales or have Welsh associations. There is a
catalogue and the exhibition is discussed in the May edition of
Planet.
Museums, galleries and other institutions in Wales are
invited to apply for these artworks to be gifted to their collections. If you
would like further details, please e-mail [log in to unmask]. Please
note, however, that the deadline for submitting applications for artwork is
Monday 13 June. This is to allow time for the Society to
process applications and, hopefully, to advise institutions before the end of
the exhibition.
