medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Well, perhaps I jumped the gun a bit there.  And John, of course, is right that the medieval tombs are no longer in their original locations, and as well, have been supplemented by royal tombs from elsewhere.

   It's much more satisfying to visit Saint-Denis: at least all the French royal tombs there are medieval! 
 
 
ALL ? Surely not the one on which Marie Antoinette is falling out of a ravishingly low-necked gown ? (But perhaps that memorial doesn't count as a tomb!)
