Dear all

Yesterday saw the public beta launch of the Your Paintings website, a
joint initiative between the BBC, the Public Catalogue Foundation and
collections and museums from across the UK.

Here is a blog entry about the release:

_the.html

One of the particularly engaging features is tagging paintings with your
own descriptions, which because of the lovely images and interface turns
out to be quite fun, as well as being a cumulatively useful thing to do
for others. The response has already been excellent, and obviously the
more people that tag paintings, the more useful it will be as a
resource. You don't need any specific expertise in art or technology.

If you haven't already, have a go at tagging.

Best wishes

Martin
