Apologies for cross-posting

List members may be interested in the recently launched Digital Research & Development Fund for Arts and Culture.  This £500k scheme, funded by ACE, AHRC and NESTA is looking to support arts and cultural organisations across England who want to work with digital technologies to:

·         expand their audience reach and engagement and/or

·         explore new business models

·         One of the funding themes is – ‘Data and archives - Making archives, collections and other data more widely available to other arts and cultural organisations and the general public.’

The lead partner for any project needs to be an ‘Arts and cultural organisation’ which is being defined asperforming and visual arts organisations and cultural institutions in England, including arts and cultural archives, literary organisations, museums, libraries and galleries, and may include commercial cultural and arts organisations and creative industry businesses where the funded activity is self-contained and has a clear benefit to the public.’

Closing date for applications is 2 Sep 2011
