The National Archives’ Archive Sector Development department is continuing to support archives seeking funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) through its training programme.  We will be running free one-day workshops focused on the HLF’s two main grants programmes ‘Your Heritage’ and ‘Heritage Grants’ at locations around the UK in 2011/12. These workshops are designed to complement pre-application support that applicants can receive directly from HLF.

'Your Heritage Grants' workshop

This one day workshop is designed for those aiming to apply to the Heritage Lottery Fund's 'Your Heritage' grant scheme. This scheme is for grant bids between £3,00 and £50,000.

Course objectives are:

The day is facilitated by Louise Ray Funding and Development Advice Manager, Archives Sector Development, The National Archives. It includes a mixture of presentations and group exercises, and participants are encouraged to share their own project ideas and raise questions in an informal atmosphere. In the morning, delegates have an overview of the Heritage Lottery Fund and look at project aims and activities, and in the afternoon the focus is on project planning, management and budgets.
