Dear Colleagues,

At a meeting of the University of Northampton’s Governor last week they agreed a “Statement of Compliance” in respect of the Equality Act 2010. The statement is accompanied by two appendices:

  1. Web links to useful good practice guidance, both in respect of specific "protected characteristics" (e.g. race, disability, gender etc), and specific functions of the university (e.g. estates management, student services, Governing Bodies, etc)
  2. A Briefing note on the relationship between equality and diversity issues and the University's Strategic Plan 2010-12 "Raising the Bar".

The statement and appendices can be found at: Equality and Diversity Statement of Compliance Documents
