Hi Julia,
Try this - afraid I don't have an electronic copy:

BROWN, W.A.B. and N.G. CHAPMAN, 1991. The dentition of red deer (Cervus elaphus) - a scoring scheme to assess age from wear of the permanent molariform teeth. Journal of Zoology 224: 519-536.

Best,
David
[log in to unmask]" type="cite">Hello All,

Does anyone have any advice on aging deer (red or roe) teeth/mandibles. Are there any published works on deer tooth wear? Do people tend to adapt Grant's or Payne's methods for cattle and caprines?

All suggestions/references/pdfs would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Julia
