Hi Marco, you might want to check whether there is a spm_defaults.m outside the SPM8 folder on your MATLAB path. With the last set of updates, some previously hardcoded defaults have moved into spm_defaults.m. If your version of spm_defaults.m is missing them, this could cause such an error message.
