A postdoctoral position is available immediately to examine the effects of various interventions on MRI outcomes (fMRI, DTI, structural) in people with chronic pain and/or rodent models of chronic pain. This position offers a great chance to work independently and design and run experiments. It is also an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in linking human and animal studies. The following resources will be available to the successful applicant: research-dedicated Siemens 3T MRI; Bruker 7T small animal MRI; animal PET/CT scanner; human psychophysics suite; ample laboratory space; animal behavioral testing facilities, surgical suites, histological processing equipment, etc., technical assistance from other lab personnel for procedures, analysis, and study coordination. The position is in the lab of Dr. David Seminowicz, in the Department of Neural and Pain Sciences at the University of Maryland Dental School.
