Hello Ruth

Not sure where you are based. There are two options available to you – Distance Learning and face to face. D/L is offered by Robert Gordon and University of Western Scotland. Both are good courses (I am the external examiner for both).

D/L has the advantage that there is minimal attendance requirement the flip side is that this method of learning is not for everyone as it does require a significant amount of self-directed motivation. The other option is face to face learning. The NMC can provide you with a list of centres. In addition to co-managing the JISC list (to which many of my students and graduates contribute) run the course at London South Bank University. The course I manage although NMC validated as a SCPHN course it is totally focused on occupational health nursing. The only shared learning with health visitors et al is a unit on research.

We have taught students who have completed the Uni Glam programme and the Warwick Diploma course and wish to gain a degree in OH Nursing. If you would like info on our programe please contact me on my work address [log in to unmask]">[log in to unmask]
