Hi
I work with a tree surgery company and their policy is that all staff wear long sleeves in sunny weather and provide collared, long sleeve t shirts and neck covers which attach to the helmet to keep the back of the neck covered....sunscreen gets messy with would chippings!

I would say yes...as part of PPE if the hazard is sun . I work for a council which supplies the same to all staff.
Don't forget window blinds or thermal film for windows, if staff are in doors.

Good luck with your talk.
Warmest regards,
Maria

In a hurry as usual, doing talk to staff at 1pm today about sun damage and heat exposure – just a quick question, must  the employer  provide hats, sun cream, sun glasses to staff who work outside, or not!

Thanks as always,

Sue
