I’m writing to invite you to attend a free introduction to mentoring workshop, due to be held at Amgueddfa cymru/ National Museum Wales,  29^th June 2011

This is a workshop for anyone that is committed to CPD and wants to mentor for the AMA. We will guide you through all stages in the process.

10.00am                                               Assemble, Coffee & Introductions

10.30am                                               Introduction to mentoring

· Key stages of the AMA

· What is mentoring?

· Effective Relationships

· Working through scenarios

12.00pm                                               Lunch (provided)

1.00pm                                                 Mentor training (joined by existing mentors for refresher training)                         

· Up-date on the AMA scheme

· Problems and pitfalls

· Communication skills

· Reflecting on your skills

· CPD for mentors

4.00pm                                                                Finish

Please bear in mind that this workshop will be held on the day before the free MA Members Meeting: Wales, held at Amgueddfa cymru/ National Museum Wales, 30^th June 2011.
