Sharing Conservation Decisions

23rd and 24th June 2011
National Library of Wales / School of Art, Aberystwyth

This conference will explore how conservation decisions are made about our cultural heritage, from delicate ceramics to buildings. It is designed to be relevant to curators, conservators and anyone who works with collections and the historic environment. The aim is to question the decision making process, examine the underlying principles and methodologies and clarify the role of the professional conservator within it.
It will cover
- the psychology of decision making and the psychology of aesthetics
-	how conservation decisions are shared
-	ethics, methodology and conservation principles
-	the object and environment in context

There is no attendance fee. CyMAL will also fund catering and refreshments for delegates. However CyMAL will not cover the cost of delegates travel and accommodation.

 Rhannu Penderfyniadau ynghylch Cadwraeth

23 a 24 Mehefin 2011
Llyfrgell Genedlaethol Cymru / Yr Ysgol Gelf, Aberystwyth

Bydd y gynhadledd hon yn edrych ar y modd y gwneir penderfyniadau ynghylch gwarchod ein treftadaeth ddiwylliannol, o grochenwaith gain i adeiladau mawr. Bydd yn berthnasol i guraduron, gwarchodwyr ac unrhyw un arall sy'n gweithio gyda chasgliadau a'r amgylchedd hanesyddol. Y nod yw archwilio'r broses gwneud penderfyniadau, edrych ar yr egwyddorion a'r methodolegau sylfaenol ac esbonio rôl y gwarchodwr proffesiynol yn y broses honno.
Bydd yn ymdrin â
- seicoleg y broses gwneud penderfyniadau a seicoleg estheteg
-	sut y mae penderfyniadau i warchod yn cael eu rhannu
-	moeseg, methodoleg ac egwyddorion cadwraeth
-	y gwrthrych a'r amgylchedd yn eu cyd-destun

Nid oes tâl mynychu. Bydd CyMAL yn talu hefyd am fwyd a lluniaeth i'r cynrychiolwyr. Ond ni fydd CyMAL yn talu am gostau teithio a llety'r cynrychiolwyr.
