Call for Papers

The 2nd Annual North East Regional Film Seminar Conference [NERFS] 2011
University of Sunderland, Centre for Research in Media & Cultural Studies
28th June 2011.


This is an initial call for papers for the 2nd annual NERFS (North East Regional Film Seminar) one-day conference, which is to be held at St Peter's Campus, Sunderland on Tuesday 28th June. We are currently looking for 20 minute presentations on any aspect of film/television studies in order to showcase the range of research being done on film in the north east of England (hence there is no overarching theme).

Deadline for submissions: 31st May 2011.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
