Dear Colleagues,

Just to let you know that there are a few places still available on the cpd25 Negotiation Skills half-day course, which is taking place on the morning of Friday, 20th May.

How good are your negotiation skills? Do you feel confident that you could engage in negotiations with a publisher to bring down the price of a product? If you don't feel confident when you need to use negotiation skills then this half-day cpd25 course could be for you.

You will encounter the need for negotiation skills in more situations than you might realise. When many of us are managing with reduced resources, good negotiation skills can help you to manage these resources more effectively.

This course will help you identify when, where and how you can put these skills to use and help you to become a more confident and effective negotiator.

We will cover the following areas during this course:

* When you might need to negotiate
* Different approaches to negotiation
* Preparing for negotiations
* Negotiating in practice

This course will be helpful for anyone wishing to develop their negotiation skills, and especially for those in a management or liaison role.
