Subject: RSP Event: Communication Skills for Effective Advocacy, 15 June 2011
I am delighted to announce the upcoming workshop Communication Skills for Effective Advocacy, which will be held on the 15 June, 2011 in Manchester. This event is Free of Charge.
This workshop revisits the successful and oversubscribed event held last year with the same name. Workshop participants will explore effective influencing skills, sources of power and methods which repository managers can use to influence key people in their institutions. The day will include the opportunity to put these new skills into practice and also approaches to effectively handling common objections.
Aims
· To equip Repository Managers with the knowledge and skills to effectively influence key people in their institution.
· To provide Repository mangers with an opportunity to put these skills into practice
· To share best practice in the handling of common objections
Target Audience
· Repository Managers
· This event will be of less use to delegates of the previous event and priority will be given to participants who have not attended the previous event.
