The Italian Section of the
One 3-year part-time Language Assistantship to be combined with
full-time postgraduate research. The award covers tuition fees and maintenance
of £7,500 per annum for three years (subject to satisfactory progress). The
successful candidate will work towards the preparation of a PhD thesis.
Candidates must have native-standard Italian and be available to teach six
hours per week of Italian language during the academic year. They must have a
good undergraduate degree and a postgraduate qualification such as an MA.

You should include a detailed research proposal of at least 1000 words
plus bibliography. Interviews will be held at Royal Holloway on 14 June. If
called to interview, you will be required to deliver a 15 minute language class
(in Italian), and a 10 minute presentation of your research topic (in English).
Costs incurred in attending interviews cannot be reimbursed. The deadline for
