Subject: Train shelters thesaurus question

Dear all

If a bus shelter is a structure providing protection against the weather
at bus stops, and a tram shelter provides the same as tram stops, what
do you call an open-sided structure like this by a railway line? We
have a Brunel designed Grade II* listed 'waiting room' only it's not a
room, it's a projecting roof supported by nice brick work with a
recessed central part - see old LBS UID 40008 on Images of England.
Anyone else got something similar, and what have you indexed it as?
Following on from the aforementioned terms, I suppose it should be a
'train shelter' but this sounds more like something trains go under to
get out of the rain... I think I've strayed into a Thomas the Tank story
now. Railway shelter? Waiting shelter?

The only relevant thesaurus term I can find at the moment is 'Station
Canopy' defined as 'A supported, roof structure covering all, or part,
of a railway platform' which isn't really quite right either. May be a
new term is needed if there is more than one in the country.

Thanks in anticipation
