With apologies for the short notice, Modern Languages at Exeter is holding a one-day workshop next Monday (May 23rd): Repositioning Memory -- Between the Archive and the Rubbish Heap. Ernst van Alphen of the University of Leiden will
be the keynote speaker, and artist Paul Becker will also speak. Some of the speakers have experience of working with real archives, but as the day goes on the 'archives' under discussion will become progressively less real and objective!
