At the Dept. of Geography of the University of Kiel, Germany applications are invited for a PhD position or Post-Doc position, fixed-term two years (with an option to extend another year) ideally commencing October 1st 2011. You have received a master or PhD in human geography, with a specialisation in economic geography, are interested in at least one of the following research fields: evolutionary economic geography, global production networks or regional innovation systems. In addition you have either basic knowledge of German or you are willing to learn basic German. You are expected to contribute to a research proposal of your own interest related to the above-mentioned research fields, as well as to teaching either in English or German, including Statistics (two hours a week during the semester as PhD candidate, four hours as Post-Doc). The salary is based on the German federal public service scale (TV-L E 13). Women are especially encouraged to apply.
