I have personally tried this and got nowhere! _____ From: This list is for those interested in Data Protection issues [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Antoinette Carter Sent: 22 May 2011 07:24 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [data-protection] Names/Addresses of Thieves Dear All, The thieves who attempted to steal my motorbike last week were caught red-handed by the Police, arrested and are bailed pending further enquiries/preparation of CPS' case. My question is this - can I ask for the names and addresses of the said thieves in order to make a civil claim against them for my uninsured losses? Assuming that the case doesn't get dropped, their name and address will be publicly available in the Court Records, but that might be months down the line.
