If you know their names and their rough residential location, then a few
quid spent on the net should get you what you need to know anyway.

Depends on whether or not you want to spend out on such "tracking" sites..

You can ask but I doubt you'd get it. I have personally tried this and got
nowhere!

Subject: [data-protection] Names/Addresses of Thieves

Dear All,

The thieves who attempted to steal my motorbike last week were caught
red-handed by the Police, arrested and are bailed pending further
enquiries/preparation of CPS' case. My question is this - can I ask for the
names and addresses of the said thieves in order to make a civil claim
against them for my uninsured losses? Assuming that the case doesn't get
dropped, their name and address will be publicly available in the Court
Records, but that might be months down the line. What do you think?
