Lectureships in Archaeology (2 posts), University of York
	
The Department of Archaeology at York is seeking to build upon existing
strengths in early prehistory, bioarchaeology, and cultural heritage
management, and to support further growth in teaching and research in these
areas.

It is anticipated that the successful candidates will demonstrate a proven
international research record, which will contribute to the Department of
Archaeology's growing research reputation. They will be expected to
establish active research links within and outside Archaeology, and to
contribute to research and teaching in one or more of early prehistory
(Palaeolithic and/or Mesolithic archaeology), biomolecular archaeology
(including osteoarchaeology) or cultural heritage management (including
museum studies and professional practice). In addition, candidates should
possess a clear research vision, and both interest and ability in
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and administration. The posts are
available from October 2011 or January 2012. Salary in the range: £35,788 -
£44,016 per annum. One post is available on an open contract and the other
post is fixed-term for two years. Closing date: 6 June 2011.
