this is a very crucial but also... too open question: it is strongly related to context, cultural and organisational issues - not to mention cases of cybercrime, cloud based spying, aggressive "intelligence" and the like including faked parodies and media sitcom made up in order to prevent defamation charges. Besides, asking people how do the share information is dangerously glued with other policy and architectural implications and people can feel uncomfortable to answer via email on a public mailing list.

In my opinion during the last Intranets Forum meeting we did a very good subgroup work answering the challenging question "How to change culture?" that we bravely reformulated with "How to... change management?"

Also the other two subgroups dealing with search / metadata and how to update contents gave interesting answers that could be further commented documented with cases and examples here.

I am having a very busy period but as soon as possible I will write and post here my notes from the meeting and thanks Dion for the slides.

Dear all,

At the Intranets Forum meeting last week I asked the question about how do you cope with the consequences of closing down shared drives when introducing SharePoint.

Do you have any experiences that you can share?

I will summarise the submissions and feedback to the list.

Many thanks
