Morning all
As some of you may know, for the last year and a half I've been collecting science communication job vacancy adverts and their accompanying job descriptions. Every three months I collect the newly posted jobs and add them to this list. I've stopped counting them but I think it's over 300.
Each item in the list contains a link which will take you to the page (individual blog post) for each job, from which you can download any job descriptions etc. When I hear about new jobs and add them to the blog they’re automatically pinged out to a dedicated Twitter feed (@ScicommJobs).
Although an imperfect record the blog shows which organisations seem to like employing scicomm folk. I also maintain a companion list of scientific organisations’ vacancies pages – at any one time there’s bound to be a science communication job lurking among them ;)
"Science communication" covers many different kinds of jobs and I hope the collection's variety reflects that, but it is not meant to be exhaustive.
My interest in doing this is more long-term than just advertising vacancies. I want to make it a bit easier for people to 'work towards'
the skills & experience needed to apply for a more senior job (without having to wait for such a job to become vacant to see what those are), but also to highlight the different sectors employing science communicators.
There are also events, awards, courses and miscellaneous things that I think might be of interest.

If you have science communication jobs you’d like to be considered (posting depends on time and my whims) then please send them to [log in to unmask] with the job advert in the body and the job description attached (makes life a lot easier!). I’m happy to post no-longer-available jobs too (as long as there’s a job description). I’ve still got a few posted here in March to get through...
