Dear Wyn we are thinking of
putting in an application around clinical biochemistry and diabetes. Just
wanted to check are there any particular age ranges that we need to comply with
etc? The event we want to do is aimed at GSCE students
Thanks

Subject: [PSCI-COM] London Science Festival 2011 (LSF2011) | Open
Application - DEADLINE: 13 May 2011
Hi Psci-Commers – a reminder that
the deadline for the ‘Event Organiser Open Application’ for London Science
Festival 2011 (LSF2011) is just less than four weeks away (13
May 2011) – do get in touch if you’d like to speak to us before submitting an
application. We are particularly interested in events which fit into the key
themes below – especially if they bridge more than one theme e.g. a film about
chemistry, or a lecture on forests and London (there really is a link there...)
etc. etc.
We’re also keen to develop/curate
online content relating to these key themes so if you have an interesting web
project which fits, please get in touch.
Best, Wynn

Subject: London Science Festival 2011 (LSF2011) | Open Application -
DEADLINE: 13 May 2011
Dear Psci-commers,
We have now opened up
application for LSF2011 – details, as below...
London
Science Festival 2011 (LSF2011) | Event Organiser Open Application
London
Science Festival is a brand new festival for London in 2011, which was founded
with the mission to inspire and engage the public in all things scientific,
from natural science to science in its most cultural contexts.
We are working on a programme of events with our HE and museum partners. This
open application is to open the Festival to any individual or organisation
wanting to run an event as part of the LSF2011 programme.
Your
LSF2011 event must be held between 19-26
October 2011. However, it may be part of a larger event which
starts before, or extends beyond, LSF2011 e.g. a lecture or debate for a
long-running exhibition.
If you do
not have a venue
for your event, please state this in your application – we will match
successful applications with our venue partners.
We are
particularly interested in event proposals around the following key themes:
• Forests
(UN International Year of Forest)
• Chemistry (UN International Year of Chemistry)
• History of Science in London
• Physics and Astronomy
• Science on screen (film and television)
• Science and War
To apply,
please complete an LSF2011 application form and submit by Friday 13 May 2011.
If you wish to send supporting material (brochures) this can be sent to our
postal address – but, all application forms must be submitted electronically
via [log in to unmask].
