You could choose a health news item and look at an associated systematic Cochrane review in more detail. Zinc for the common cold springs to mind as a recent story that got lots of news coverage. It would help equip people in the audience with the tools to ask questions of healthcare stories and perhaps give them the confidence to question doctors about treatments being offered to them and their friends and family.
