Dear Alun

yes, I agree - some of the best hours of my learning / teaching have been with infants and primary school kids.

Dear Keith

From observation there also seems to be an ego inflation factor in play as we progress through the stages.

Dear Alun,

Being really naughty, one could suggest that the real differences between infants, primary, secondary, tertiary and postgraduate courses, in design, can be illustrated in the following ways.

As the child progresses so:

1) the price of the software increases

2) the size of the computer monitor increases

2) the disk space needed expands.

To compensate for these cost increases, there should be corresponding increases in the staff/student ratio until you reach postgraduate studies where the count gets set to 1:0 (one student, no supervisor to be found).

cheers
