Hi All

My impression with various clients now and in the past is that any EAP type service needs to advertise itself regularly in order to achieve value for money for the purchaser.  Too often such programmes are put in place with a splash of advertising at the beginning of the contract and then little else. Hence awareness and usage decreases and the cost per session for the few who do use rises.

We have found to a large extent that what David says is very much true at present and is a model that we are increasingly offering for musculoskeletal cases. The overall effect is that you won't get any of the (money saving but hard to prove) preventative aspects but you will be able to cover any critical cases to remain compliant. 

If we can help with any MSK issues of any kind let me know offline.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about EAP provision.  

A client of mine with approx. 150 employees (so not a large organization) is considering options around providing further support for it's employees.  I was recently in a conversation with a colleague of mine who said that a couple of companies he is working with have stopped using the standard EAP services due to poor uptake and are just providing funding for counseling with OH as the gateway.

I really appreciate your input, as it is good to hear a number of perspectives.
