Dear Free Radicals,

We are extending the Early Bird registration deadline for the 31st International Symposium on Free Radicals by 1 week to May 6, 2011.

The conference is being held in the exotic, tropical surrounds of Port Douglas in northern Australia, with ample opportunities to view the unique marine environment of the Great Barrier Reef and the surrounding rainforests, play golf, hike, sea kayak, sail, or simply relax on the beach.

Further details of the conference including the list of exciting, invited speakers are available on the conference website (www.freerads.com.au).

The registration fee ($870 full, $670 student) covers meals, morning and afternoon tea, conference banquet, and full day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. Accommodation rates vary from as low as $300 for the 5 nights (shared, 2 per room), to $265 per night for full 2 bedroom apartments, suitable for families (inclusive of breakfast).

In keeping with Free Radicals tradition, the poster sessions will receive the highest priority. Each poster presenter gets 1 slide and 1 minute to sell their science in a rapid-fire oral session before each of the 2 poster sessions. This has been a lot of fun at past Free Radicals meetings. Based on abstracts received before 1st June, another 10 delegates will be invited to present “Hot Topic” seminars interspersed throughout the program.

So visit the conference website (www.freerads.com.au) and register now!

We hope to see you in Port Douglas 24-29 July for a great meeting. Feel free to contact us with any questions you might have.

Evan Bieske ([log in to unmask]) and Scott Kable ([log in to unmask])
(co-Chairs, 31st International Symposium on Free Radicals - www.freerads.com.au)
