** First call for submissions for the 2011 SRIP conference ** 31st ANNUAL CONFERENCE: SOCIETY OF REPRODUCTIVE AND INFANT PSYCHOLOGY, NOTTINGHAM 14TH AND 15TH SEPTEMBER 2011 Venue: the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Submissions for symposia, papers and posters on the psychological, behavioural, medical and social aspects of all areas of reproduction, birth and infancy are invited from researchers, students or practitioners. SRIP provides a unique forum for the integration of issues in reproduction by individuals working in psychology, healthcare, midwifery, nursing, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, social work, sociology, anthropology, and epidemiology. In 2011 the conference theme is "Reproduction and Parenting Challenges in the 21st Century" and we would particularly welcome papers dealing with health inequalities & poverty, ethnicity, child protection, mental health, domestic abuse, disability, nutrition and obesity. However, submissions on other SRIP related topics are also very welcome. Submissions for a symposium, paper or poster A 250 word abstract and 500 word summary should be submitted by email to the academic programme organiser Anita Hughes ([log in to unmask]) by the 3rd May 2011. * Presentations should not exceed 20 minutes allowing time for discussion. * Applicants will be expected to be available to discuss their poster with delegates.
