Please circulate details of the following vacancy in the new Centre for Arts and Humanities Research (CAHR) at the Natural History Museum, London,  to interested people. The Promotion and Office Co-Coordinator post is a one year position, which will assist in the deliver of a number of projects and tasks during the launch year of the Centre.  Working as part of a team this post would provide  excellent experience  of working in an interdisciplinary research centre. 
Salary £26,000, closing date for applications 20th April 2011.

Role description: A new interdisciplinary Centre for Arts and Humanities Research (CAHR) has been established at the Natural History Museum and will be officially launched in 2011. CAHR supports research into the historical, cultural, social and economic significance of the library, archive and specimen collections of this world class museum. You will join a dynamic team and be responsible for organising a programme of promotional events including conferences and seminars, assisting with the official launch of the Centre and producing content for the new CAHR website and e-newsletters. 

You will also be required to re-organise the electronic and paper records of the Centre and support the wider busy schedule of research related project work of the Centre. 

The successful candidate will have previous experience of organising and co-ordinating seminars or conferences. 

A Degree (or equivalent) in an arts or humanities subject and excellent communication skills is also essential for this post. 


Salary:£26,000 per annum plus benefits
